VelocityEHS is providing safety professionals with even more opportunities to create and print compliant workplace labels through its expanded compatibility with Brady’s newest label printer releases. VelocityEHS users can now create and print workplace labels in the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) format on Brady’s three new printer models, including BBP30, BBP35 and BBP37. The expanded functionality gives customers more options to properly communicate chemical hazards throughout their workplace.
Even though OSHA’s final compliance deadline for GHS has passed, the changes brought on by adoption of the model hazard communication system are now fully integrated into the Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom), making it critical for covered companies to understand their responsibilities and continue to be in compliance. When it comes to workplace labels, OSHA does not outline a specific format however, a best practice is to replicate the hazard information found on the chemical manufacturer’s shipped label.
The joint VelocityEHS and Brady solution provides users with tools to streamline the chemical label creation process, helping them to quickly capture and save pertinent information from a safety data sheet and easily incorporate it into the appropriate Brady label format. Furthermore, the new Brady printers feature remarkable color printing, built-in XY plotter-cutter systems and faster printing speed.
