Multipurpose Lubricant Spray Safety, Handling & First Aid

As with any chemical, it is critical to use care when handling a multipurpose lubricant spray product. Ensure there is adequate ventilation in the work area. If there is risk of skin contact, wear protective gloves. Wear chemical safety goggles if eye exposure is possible and have eyewash stations located near workstations as a precautionary measure. In the event of exposure to multipurpose lubricant spray, follow these first aid guidelines:

  • Inhalation—Immediately move the exposed person to fresh air and get prompt medical attention.
  • Eye Contact—Remove contact lenses if wearing. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eyelids and continue doing so for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if any discomfort continues.
  • Skin Contact—Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention if symptoms occur after washing.
  • Ingestion—Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical attention immediately.

Aerosol cans of multipurpose lubricant spray are flammable and must be kept away from heat, sparks, open flames, and all other sources of ignition. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials. Do not store above 120°F or in direct sunlight.
