Date and Time: Monday, March 17 from 1–5 p.m.
Presenter: Rick Barker, CPE, CSP, Senior Director, Solution Strategy, VelocityEHS
Description: Every successful process requires a driver to establish a roadmap and continually monitor progress. If you’re the architect of your ergonomics program, this workshop is for you. Based on ISO 45001 and the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle of continuous improvement, participants will roll up their sleeves and get to work planning or improving their company’s ergonomics process.
This workshop covers the key elements of a written ergonomics plan, considerations for establishing your ergonomics team, activities you can perform to enhance stakeholder alignment, and how to select metrics that are aligned with your process maturity and stakeholder objectives. This workshop combines lectures, role playing, small group activities, and discuss.
AGCO Case Study: Utilizing a Continuous Improvement Focus in Deploying a Sustainable Ergonomics Process
Date and Time: Tuesday, March 18 at 8:00 a.m.
Presenter: Blake McGowan, CPE, Solution Executive, VelocityEHS and Walid El-Sayed, Global Director of Materials Management, AGCO Corporation
Description: Creating an ergonomics process in a unique environment that commonly contains long cycle time operations and few classic workstations was a challenge that AGCO overcame. This presentation will highlight their efforts to utilize the Continuous Improvement spirit of an Ergonomics Process to build skill across the organization, but more importantly build excitement to ensure the process is sustained.
By applying a Continuous Improvement approach, the team was able to successfully launch the program and scale it across the North America, South America and Europe.
Biomechanics and AI: Enhancing Ergonomic Risk Analysis for Injury Prevention and Workplace Efficiency
Date and Time: Tuesday, March 18 at 3:30 p.m.
Presenters: Rachel Zoky, CPE, Senior Strategic Consultant, VelocityEHS and Ashley Mayo, PT, DPT, AEP, Ergonomic and Safety Specialist, Fit For Work
Description: This presentation explores how biomechanics enhances AI-powered ergonomic systems that use sensorless motion capture to assess musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risks. By analyzing biomechanical data such as posture, joint angles, and repetitive movements, the AI system produces a detailed risk analysis of workplace tasks. A strong foundation in biomechanics enables experts to accurately interpret this data, identify root causes of high-risk behaviors, and recommend targeted ergonomic improvements. Case studies from various industrial sectors will demonstrate how integrating biomechanics with AI-driven risk analysis has led to reduced MSD risks, improved workplace safety, and the implementation of sustainable ergonomic solutions.
Six Common Reasons Why Workplace Ergonomics Deployments Fail
Date and Time: Wednesday, March 19 at 4:00 p.m.
Presenter: Blake McGowan, CPE, Solution Executive, VelocityEHS
Description: VelocityEHS has long helped organizations (e.g., global enterprise and enterprise, Fortune 1000 organizations and their mid-market suppliers, as well as emerging and growth-minded mid-market organizations) keep their people safe from these hazards by deploying a formalized and standardized approach. Benchmarking studies and customer annual sustainability reports show that organizations that deploy this approach achieve best-in-class results, experiencing a 17% reduction in MSDs and worker compensation costs on an annual basis, year-upon-year. Based on 45+ years of experience, there are six common reasons why organizations fail to deploy an effective and sustainable ergonomics program.
Five Tips for Strengthening Ergonomics Within JSA’s
Date and Time: Thursday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m.
Presenter: Jaclyn Faraci, AEP, ASP, Senior Solution Consultant, VelocityEHS
Description: Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) are a vital tool for identifying and managing risk in an organization. This presentation will outline the linkage between ergonomics and JSAs and identify five actionable strategies to help strengthen ergonomic considerations within JSA’s. We will cover how JSAs can be used to provide systematic identification of ergonomic hazards through prioritization, create targeted ergonomic interventions, allow for employee involvement and feedback. We will also discuss how JSAs enable proactive management of ergonomics, and how this methodology can integrate within other aspects of your health and safety programs.
